Pangur Bán Print

£9.99

Centuries ago an Irish monk penned a poem about his cat, hard at work hunting mice while he sat at his scriptorium. The first verse reads:

Messe ocus Pangur Bán,

cechtar nathar fria saindan

bíth a menmasam fri seilgg

mu menma céin im saincheirdd.

Which is translated as:

I and Pangur Bán,

each of us two at his special art:

his mind is at hunting (mice),

my own mind is in my special craft.

This print features a white cat peering at the viewer with the words of the poem in blue in the background.
